Son of William Taylor Cupp and Julia Granville Bledsoe Cupp. Husband of Rose Ellen Carver(1st) and Mary Thelma Baker (2nd). Father of Norman Ira, Susie Anna, John Howard, William Jefferson, Valentine Elijah and Benjamin. JOHN LUTHER CUPP, RETIRED EMPLOYEE OF WABASH, DIES John Luther Cupp, 66, of 615 North Morley street, died Sunday at the State Hospital in Fulton. Mr. Cupp, retired, was formerly a section laborer with the maintenance of way department of the Wabash. He had lived in Moberly for 21 years, moving here in 1942. Born at Bevier, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Cupp. He was a member of the Macon Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rose Cupp, of the home; five sons, Norman I. Cupp, Kansas City, Master Sgt. John H. Cupp, Fort Ord, Calif., William J. Cupp, St. Louis, Specialist Valentine E. Cupp, Fort Leonard Wood, and Benjamin H. Cupp, of the home; one step-son, Carl E. Carver, of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Susie Ann Smith, Orion, Ill.; three step-daughters, Mrs. Walter Nickerson, Fayette, Mrs. Harold Johnson, and Mrs. Henry Lee Fainter, Moberly; 38 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Henry Cupp, Bevier, and Ed Cupp, Mexico, and one sister, Mrs. Susie Burkhart, Macon.
