Bio

Son of Samuel and Dovie Parker Thompson. Husband of Lillie Pearl Ethridge and father of Floyd Jr., Husband of Gladys Speed, and father of son Harold and daughter Billie Marie. Floyd passed away on the side of the river where he and his brother and his nephews, Sonny and Robert, were to go fishing. Walter took him back to his house to prepare his body for burial, and Elmer Smith Jr, Floyd's nephew, drove his body to Baker Cemetery in a black pickup truck, where he was buried near his parents.
