Bio

Joe "Bo" Foster, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Ennis Regional Medical Center on Monday, October 3, 2011. Joe was born on March 22, 1937 to Walter Elmo and Alta Mae (Musick) Harris in Mount Calm, Texas. He moved to Rice in the early years of his life and then to Ennis for the past fifty years. He worked at the Shelter Work Shop of Ennis for many years. He was a member of the Creechville Road Baptist Church. Bo was a special man and was loved by everyone. He had a gentle and sweet soul and was a joy to be around. His warm smile and kind heart will be truly missed. He is survived by one sister: Mary Woodard and her husband, Donald along with a numerous number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Elmo and Alta Mae Harris, sisters: Katherine Rager and her husband, Charles, Mae Dale Marks and two nephews Randy Woodard and Carl Butler. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his Life will take place on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Darrel Nelson officiating. Pallbearers will be Derrick Marks, Conner Butler, Nathan Woodard, Buddy March, Danny Rager and Steve Rager. Honorary Pallbearers will be Travis Schilling and Cody Schilling. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
