Bio

son of Joseph W. Shannon - Maggie Dickey He moved to Abilene from Stamford in 1970s and was a Baptist. He married Katherine Boyd in Breckenridge on 3 February 1990. Mr. Shannon was a retired as a custodian for the Abilene ISD. Survived by wife of Abilene; son - Robert Namon Kanady, two daughters - Mrs. P.D. "Wanda" Stafford and Mrs. Mike "Gayle" Haygood; three step-daughters; sister - Lois Patterson of Denton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife - Lela Roberts Shannon; three brothers; eight sisters. The Abilene Reporter-News 14 February 2006
