Shannon on 1 October 1920 in Oklahoma. contributed by Dorman Holub - May, 2014 ------- Viola married Edgar Hesskew on 01 Nov 1971 in Jones County, Texas. ------- From the Abilene Reporter-News, 08 Oct 1992, Thurs, Page 9 Viola Bartlett Hicks Hesskew Burnet - Viola Bartlett Hicks Hesskew, 90 died Wednesday in a Georgetown hospital. Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Springcreek Cemetery in Avoca, directed by Edgar Funeral Home of Burnet. Mrs. Hesskew was born in Oklahoma. She was a member of the Church of Christ and formerly employed by the Fort Worth Biscuit Company. Survivors include two sons, J.W. Hicks of Liberty Hill and Ocie M. Hicks of Huntsville, Ark.; four sisters, Hattie Gilbreath of Lueders, Lois Patterson of Denison, Bill Raughton of Big Spring and Ruby Hicks; two brothers, Bud Shannon of Abilene and Harley Shannon of Farwell; and numerous grandchildren.
