Joseph William Shannon Born 3-28-1875 in Travis Co., Texas Died 4-30-1957 in Shackelford Co., TX Son of Joseph B Shannon & Harrett Stephens Spouse: Maggie Dickie Shannon FAG# 63240269 contributed by Don Haynes Joseph William Shannon and Maggie Dickey had 12 children. I located 10 of them. Two, Walter & Denton I have not found. The odd thing is on the 1930 census they were born in 1899 and 1900, but are not on the 1900, 1910 or 1920 census; however they are listed on the 1930 census in Palo Pinto Co with the whole family. I knew O.P. "Bud" Shannon, buried at Funston. He worked for my dad and we spent a lot of time farming together in the 50's. Contributed by Don Haynes ------------------------- In response to Walter & Denton - if you check how many children were born in 1900 census - born 2 & living 1. 1910 census born 7 & living 5. This accounts for children not listed on these two census. Walter was born 1899 died before census & Denton was born 1901 and died shortly afterwards.
