"Neva Jamison" "Neva Luella Kelley, daughter of Harry and Clara Boyce Kelley was born September 24, 1896 in Van Wert, and died at the Clarke County Public hospital in Osceola, on Thursday, September 3, 1987 at the age of 90 years, one month and 11 days. She attended public schools in Clarke and Decatur Counties. Following her graduation from Van Wert High School, she attended Cedar Falls Teachers College. She then taught in rural schools in Clarke and Decatur Counties. On September 24, 1924, she was married to Robert Ashton Jamison in Osceola, and to this union five children were born: Roberta, Robert, Russell, Raymond, and Rilma. She returned to teaching in 1953 until her retirement in 1959, Neva was active in the Methodist Church and was a charter member of the U.D.Club and enjoyed being active in various clubs and service organizations, and her interest in geneology. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1986; her parents; one daughter, Roberta; and a sister, Eula Siefkas. She is survived by her three sons, Robert of Largo, Florida; Russell and wife, Joan of Fairfax, Virginia; Raymond and wife, Shirley of Weldon; and one daughter, Rilma and husband, Emil Muller of Osceola; one son-in-law, John Surbaugh and Sally of Frederic, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren; a sister, Mabel Saddoris of Osceola; and a brother, Don Delley of Weldon; as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Weldon on Sunday, September 6, 1987 with Pastor LeRoy Perkins of Corydon officiating. Burial was in High Point Cemetery, Decatur County."
