Decatur County Journal, Leon, Iowa Thursday, December 29, l92l HARRY WALTER KELLEY was born in Decatur County, Iowa, near Van Wert, October l7, l874, and departed this life at his home in Clarke Co., near Weldon, Dec. l7, l92l. He was forty-seven years and two months old. He was united in marriage to MISS CLARA BOYCE on Dec. 25, l895. To them were born four children; NEVA, EULA, MABEL and DONALD, all of whom with their mother, survive. He was a member of the Van Wert Methodist Episcopal Church, having united with the same in l895. He was a devoted husband and father as well as a Christian man. The good influence of his life is evidenced by the many friends he leaves throughout the community and vicinity where he lived almost the whole of his life. He leaves, besides his wife and children, his father and mother, MR. and MRS. L.D. KELLEY, of Van Wert, two sisters, MRS. E.N. HAMPTON and MRS. H.E. RASMUSSEN, both of Van Wert, and two brothers, FRED, of Berwyn, Nebraska, and ED, of Van Wert. Funeral services were conducted by the Methodist Episcopal Church in Van Wert by the Pastor, V.W. Henderson, at 2 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20th. Burial was made in the Van Wert Cemetery. Contributor: Barry Mateer member #48633875 Married Clara Boyce on December 25, 1895.
