Bio

Carole Ann Ellis, 64, of Columbia passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. The funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Million-Taylor Funeral Home, with interment at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly following the service. Visitation was from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. She was born on Sept. 30, 1946, in Moberly and grew up in Monroe City with her parents, Marion and Martha Sue Hackett Clawson. Carole lived in Columbia for 38 years. She worked and retired from the University of Missouri. Carole is survived by two sons and one sister: son Michael Ellis and his wife, Cheryl, and children Nicholas, Kara and Melissa live in O'Fallon; her second son, Jeremy Ellis, and his wife, Tessa, and children Carsyn and Kellen live in Tipton; and her sister, Nancy, and Rudy Meyer live in Moberly. She also was a beloved aunt, loving cousin and dear friend to many. Carole was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements have been made through Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly.
