T P Murphy was one of a kind. Raised 12 children; got all he could to move to Houston area. He worked hard to feed the family. Liked to fish and had a pond damn put in behind his house. Did lot of fishing there. Recall one time he got his sons and son in laws all in and they sained the pond. it was a great swiming hole for some of us grandkids. I recall one time one of the youngsters got in trouble and liked to have drowned in the pond; may have been Malcolm if i remember correctly. He was pretty shrewd character. In his latter years he got into making well curbs and house blocks. Convinced me I might should try that; helped him some and next thing you know he was selling me the forms. I bought them and made well curbs and house blocks through high school years. He was frugil and really a good business man. More later when have time. Further note; the memorial marker spelling for his last name is incorrect. Don't know who ordered the marker but I have not seen any evidence that he ever spelled his last name other than "Murphy".
