Bio

Born to TP and Etta Murphy I assume near Dotson, TX; possibly Garrison since I think Grandpa lived there before moving to Dotson. Uncled Jeff was one of 12 living children born to TP and Etta. He moved to Houston after returning from serving in the Navy during WWII serving with the Navy CB's. Most of his other brothers and many sisters were there. In Houston he worked for many years with the Hughes Tool Company, as did some of his other brothers and sisters. I think Uncle Jelf passed away at his home. Always a jolly Uncle to be around. Mostly saw him at the Murphy family reunions. He was nice enough to carry my wife and I out to eat and entertain us when we got married and were on our honeymoon in Houston area many moons ago, like 1960. Uncle Jeff had diabetes all time I knew him; possibly why he never got married? I understand he did have a girl friend or two. Anyway a great guy to always remember -- one of the dirty dozen as the siblings called themselves. As of April 2023 all have now passed.
