Bio

David Jasper is the oldest son of Dougald and Mary Elizabeth Seago Cochnauer. The surname spelling "Cochneuer" arose from a misreading and subsequent change of Cochnauer to Cochneuer on the original enrollment documents for the Choctaw Nation. After the death of his father, 'Jasper' took the family homeplace located 2.5 miles northeast of Bokchito as his allotment homestead. ___________________________________________________
