Bio
Private graveside service for Kenneth Lee Riley, 90, Lawton, will be Friday, July 12, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Mr. Riley died Thursday, July 11 at the Lawton-Fort Sill Veteran's Center. Burial with military honors will be under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home. Kenneth was born February 2, 1923 in Marlow, Oklahoma to James Benson and Ethel Orene (Cowley) Riley. He married Dorothy M. Johnston on September 14, 1942 in Lawton. She died April 2, 1996. He was inducted into the Army on August 26, 1943. He participated in the D-Day invasion of Normandy with the 357th Infantry. He earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal and the Purple Heart on August 2, 1944. He was discharged July 12, 1945. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife, eight brothers and sisters and a grandson, Jonny Macias.
