DEATH OF WILLIAM H. CARSON William H. Carson died of cancer at 6 a.m. Wednesday, February 4, 1914 at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.I. Carson, in Geneva, Neb., aged 45 years, 9 months and 7 days. He was born at Orland, Ind. He came to Fairmont in this county with his parents in 1877. They removed to Geneva in 1885, and have resided here ever since. He was married to Miss Mary Glenn in Geneva, July 3, 1890. He is survived by his wife and two children, a son, and a daughter. A third child died in infancy. Mr. Carson served in the Spanish-American War as a member of Company T, First Nebraska, Geneva's home company, and he saw service in the Philippines. He has been engaged in the poultry and cream business. The funeral will take place from the Methodist Episcopal church in Geneva at 2 p.m. tomorrow. The interment will be in the Geneva cemetery. The Masonic order is in charge of the funeral arrangements. The Nebraska Signal February 5th, 1914 page 7.
