Bio

Leona's father was Isaac Brackin Mankins. After the death of her mother, she went to live with the Amos Prentice family in Burnet county. Her first husband was Stanley P. Brown, who died in 1939. Leona and Stanley Brown adopted Nancy Carol Brown . Nancy is buried with her husband John Naylor Forman at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. Leona married Irvin Hunter "Cy" Bettis on Nov. 25, 1956, in Harris County, Texas. At the time of her death, Leona was a resident of Richmond, Fort Bend, Texas.
