Bio

Alice Marie Oler, 81, of Greenville passed away September 13, 2011 at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Daw officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Born July 13, 1930 in Greenville, Alice was the daughter of Marvin and Marie (Jones) Turner. On September 13, 1947, she married Billy (Bill) Pat Oler in Greenville. He preceded her in death on March 26, 2007. She was a member of Johnson Street Church of Christ and formerly served as the secretary for the Greenville Rotary Club. Survivors include her sons Pat Oler and wife, Belinda of Coppell and Keith Oler of Denton; grandson Cory Oler and wife, Pam of Gainesville; great-grandchildren Zack and Ashley of Gainesville; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers Jack Turner and Charles Turner; and sister Rosemary Prince. Wayne Wallace, Steve Pryce, Jim Hodo, John Paul Willabay, and Floyd Voss will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Timothy Ellington, Farrell Nalls, Benny Porter, Bill Prestidge, and Mark Wilhelm.
