Parents: Thomas Floyd HOLBROOK Jr. and : Sarah Elizabeth HAMILTON Holbrook Spouse: Harold Lawson and Virgil Meade Fannie Meade, 85, Coeburn, Va. 08 Apr 1922 21 Aug 2007 COEBURN, Va. — Fannie Holbrook Meade, 85, passed away Tuesday (Aug. 21, 2007) at her home. She was a member of the St. Paul Freewill Baptist Church and the Pocahontas Rebekah Lodge #24. She is survived by two sisters, Bertha Stone, of Dante, Va. and Allene Collins, of St. Paul, Va.; several nieces and nephews; two special friends, Carolyn Evans and Valice Toney. The family will receive friends today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sturgill Funeral Home, Coeburn, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Crawford, Rev. Kevin Morris, Rev. Mike Lawson and Brother Les Ritchie officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Temple Hill Memorial Park Castlewood, Va. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lawson, Chad French, Blake Stone, Greg Mullins, Gary Slemp and Rick Evans. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Stone Jr., Tom Lawson, Terry Stone, Donnie Lawson, Larry Lawson and Wayne Hubbard. Sturgill Funeral Homes, 310 6th Street N.W. Coeburn, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
