DANTE, VIRGINIA - Bertha Estelle Stone, 92, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Medical Center, Bristol, Tennessee. She was born in Wise County, Virginia; daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah Hamilton Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Chuck" Stone; three brothers, Donald Holbrook, Everette Holbrook, and Alvin Holbrook; two sisters, Mildred Lawson and Fannie Meade. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Morris and husband, Haskel of Weber City, Virginia; two sons, Chuck Stone, Jr. and wife, Kay of Lebanon, Virginia and Terry Stone of Dante, Virginia; one sister, Aleene Collins of Coeburn, Virginia; five grandchildren, Amy Hutchins, Kevin Morris, Chad Stone, Blake Stone, and Megan Collins; six great grandchildren; two special friends, Sharon Taylor and Sherlene Hammons; special pet, Lucy; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Bertha Estelle Stone will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Rev. Scott Million and Dr. Kevin Morris officiating. Committal Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017 in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Family and Friends will meet at the funeral home and go in procession to the cemetery leaving at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Woody McClanahan, Ethan Collins, Bobby Gillespie, Mike Stanley, Dave Jones, and Jeff Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeff Counts, Raymond Large, Jeff Turner, Gene Stone, Mike Stone, Stephen Martin, Travis Woods, Dave Hampton, and Jamie McCoy. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. June 10, 2017 in Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
