Crescentia "Sancy" Krajewski Crescentia "Sancy" Krajewski, 90, of Ogallala, died Aug. 18, 2011, at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant. Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 21, at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug 22, at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Ogallala Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Gubser Funeral Home and at the church prior to Rosary and Mass. Gubser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. n North Platte Telegraph August 20, 2011 Crescentia "Sancy" Marie Krajewski, age 90 of Ogallala, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at the Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 22nd at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. Burial will be in the Ogallala Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21st at St. Luke's Catholic Church. Sancy was born May 5, 1921, at David City, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Antonette (Styskal) Reznicek. The family moved to Pender where she graduated from the Pender High School with the class of 1938. She was proficient in Debate as well as Creative Speaking, and won many awards. She played drums in the school band, and later played in a local dance band. Sancy attended business school in Omaha and under government approval in 1940, was accepted for a position at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. She was a private secretary to General John Koch for five years. On April 21, 1945, she married Lt. Norbert Krajewski in the Naval Chapel on the Patuxen River in Maryland. After Norbert's discharge in November, 1945, they returned to their farm ten miles southwest of Ogallala, where they conducted a farming and cattle operation. The couple purchased and operated a fly-in hunting and fishing lodge in northern Manitoba, Canada. In 1980 they semi-retired and spent winters in their home at Arizona City, Arizona, where they enjoyed playing golf. Sancy was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and the Altar Society, the Franciscan Third Order, and was an associate of the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville, Kentucky. She served as a Pink Land at the Ogallala Community Hospital for many years and delivered Meals on Wheels in Ogallala. Each election year Sancy volunteered her time as a member of the local election board. She was also a member of the Elks DOES, Legion of Mary and Nebraska Cowbelles. She participated in Bible Study groups for several years and traveled overseas many times on trips including to the Holy Land. Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Fries of Ogallala, Jeanette and husband Ted Richardson of Derby, KS, and Susan and husband Glenn Behrens of Templeton, IA; five sons, Toney and wife Barb Krajewski, David and wife Diane Krajewski, Gary and wife Diane Krajewski and Robert Krajewski of Ogallala, and Col. James and wife Brenda Krajewski of Alamogordo, NM; twenty two grandchildren and twenty five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-two years, Norbert; one grandson, Brett Behrens; and three sisters, Magdalene, Marcella and Charlotte. A memorial has been established in her memory. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Gubser Funeral Home and at the church prior to the Rosary and Funeral Mass. Gubser Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
