Hillsboro Evening Mirror Monday, February 19, 1940 R.L. Plunkett Mrs. Josephine Plunkett, wife of R.L. Plunkett of Abbott passed away at Waco sunday afternoon Feb. 18, 1940, aged 56 years. Mrs. Plunkett was the daughter of the late Uncle Tom Epting. She was born at the old family residence on Cobb creek, Nov. 3, 1901, she made her home in the Abbott community all of her life. When a young girl she was converted and at the time of her death held membership in the Abbott Methodist church. Funeral services will be held at the Abbott Methodist Church at 2 o'clock tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon with the Rev. J.T. Gardner officiating. Interment will be in the Bell cemetery under the direction of Marshall and Marshall. She is survived by her husband and the following children; Carl and Olin of Hillsboro; Tom, A.B., Walton, Roy of Abbott, Murray of Denton; Mrs. Leslie Harwell and Mrs. Fred Young of Abbott; Mrs. Luther Hill, Blossoms; Mrs. Austin L. Williams of Hillsboro; two brothers, Tom Epting, Conway; Beech Epting, Itasca' one sister Mrs. Lela Conaway, Dickens, Texas and nine grandchildren.
