Hillsboro Reporter December 2000 Dora Williams Dora Lee Williams, 85, of Hillsboro died Friday, December 15, at a Waco hospital. She was born April 29, 1915 in Abbott, daughter of Robert and Josephine Epting Plunkett, where she grew up and fraduated from high school. She co-owned and co-operated Hillsboro Grain Company, Dairy Queen and Williams' Drive-In with her husband for many years, retiring in 1991. She married Alston Lee Williams December 25, 1935, and he preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. She was a member of Line Street United Methodist Church of Hillsboro. Survivors include: four children and their spouses, Geraldine and Robert Novak of Washington, D.C., Jimmy and Patsy Williams of Hillsboro, Josie and Leonard Herring of Denton and Jane and Larry Cain of Austin; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Terry Williams, Todd and Lori Williams, Angie and Billy Matthews, Andrea and Steve Ciulla, Zelda and Christopher Caldwell, Alexander and Angie Novak, Lance Cain and Nathan Cain; and 12 great - grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 17, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Cathy Bourgoin officiating. Burial was at Vaughan Cemetery in the Vaughan Cemetery in the Vaughan Community in Hill County. Memorials may be made to line Street United Methodist Church, 304 Line Street, Hillsboro, Texas 76645.
