Delores Jean Kopejtka was born September 28, 1946 in Inman, Nebraska to Albert and Genevieve (Butterfield) Kopejtka. She was the third youngest of seven children. Dee attended elementary school in Inman, then after the Inman High School closed, she went to high school in Page, Nebraska. In 1963, Dee married Bill Baker and the couple moved to Orange County, CA. She worked as a waitress in a donut shop. Dee fondly remembered the day she was a suspect in a bank robbery down the road, until her boss told the police that she had been at work all day. She and Bill later divorced in the late 60's. Dee then moved back to Fremont, NE for a short time where she had her daughter, Lisa. In 1970, she moved back to Inman, working as a waitress at Woody's and Seger's. She later had her son, Scott, in 1973. Dee was at Gaylen's Bar one night where she met Curt Miller. After several years of dating, the couple married on April 29, 1983 in O'Neill. To this union two children were born Chris and Ashley. Dee was the housekeeper at the Sunset Hotel and Valley Hope. She also worked at Harte's Pub and Dollar General for many years and later she worked as the Custodian at O'Neill Elementary. Dee enjoyed dancing, attending rodeo's, going on road trips, a nice cold Coors Light, and also enjoyed listening to music. She also loved spending time with her family and cooking up a great meal. She was also an avid member of the O'Neill Eagles Club. Delores is survived by her four children, Lisa Everett of Inman, Scott (Kasey) Baker of Inman, Chris Miller of Inman, and Ashley Peterson of Stuart; eight grandchildren, Nikkita Everett, Caige Anson, Jocie Anson, Emma Peterson, Robert Peterson, Faith Peterson, William Peterson, and Rylan Baker; her sister, Carolyn Sass of Huron, SD; her brother, Gary (Diane) Kopejtka of Lincoln; her dog, Coco of Inman; many nieces, nephews, and many bonus children.
