Bio

Jewell Mayo Services for Jewel Mayo, 95, of Fairfield, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel with John Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Shanks Cemetery in Simsboro. Mrs. Mayo died Thursday at East Texas Medical Center, Fairfield. She was a hospital sitter and a member of Fairfield Church of Christ. Mrs. Mayo was preceded in death by her husband, Normey Mayo of Fairfield; her parents, John Manus York and Eralee Lemons of Henderson; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by daughters, Norma Eldridge of Graham, Doris Blocker of Odessa, Moselle Brown of Tyler and Dorothy Faye Garber of Fairfield; brother, Albert York of Fairfield; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Pallbearers will be H.J. Cannon, Albert Bonner, Thomas Doyle Cannon, Buck Bonner, Jodie Bonner and Joel Andrew Bonner.
