Bio

Funeral services will be held at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church at Seward on Friday at 2 p.m. for Herbert F. Brose, 77, Seward, who passed away in a Lincoln hospital Tuesday afternoon. Rev. L. W. Heideman will officiate. Burial at the Seward cemetery, Volland Mortuary in charge. Mr. Brose was born in Seward county and lived there all his life. He farmed near Milford for 36 years. After he moved to Seward he worked at Concordia Teachers College for 12 years. Surviving are his wife, Caroline; two sons, Louis of Milford and Walter of Quincy, Wash.; two sisters, Miss Hilda Brose of Seward and Mrs. Anna Nobis of Lincoln; two brothers, August and Charles, both of Seward, and five grandchildren.
