Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, May 22, 2003 JOHN MELTON Mr. John Alex Melton, 46, of Clifton died Sunday, May 18, at a Waco hospital. He was born October 11, 1956 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, son of James R. and Lena Mae Tice Melton. He was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Wayne Melton. He was a member of Smith Bend Baptist Church. Survivors include: his parents; one son, Johnny Ray Melton and wife, Tonya, of Hillsboro; one daughter, Virginia Lee Melton of Cleburne; one brother, James Henry Massey of Flint, Michigan; two sisters, Virginia Gordon of Hico and Jo Bryant of Fort Worth; two granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney with Rev. Garland Melton officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Heart, P.O.
