The Correctionville News, 16 June 1966, page 1: Mrs. Frances Marie Hilger, 55, Correctionville, passed away Sunday morning at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, July 14, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon with Rev. A.M. Conlon officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Walter Funeral Home of Anthon. Mrs. Hilger was born July 8, 1909, at Brainard, Nebraska. The former Frances Marie Novacek, she married Harold Hilger September 4, 1928, at Brainard, Nebraska. They lived in David City and Weston, Nebraska, before moving to a farm north of Correctionville in 1942. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. Survivors include the widower, Harold, two daughters, Mrs. Romirio (Jane) Juarez of South Sioux City, Nebraska, and Mrs. Merlin (Diane) Franzen of LeMars, one son, Robert of Lincoln, five sisters, Mrs. Ann Albin of Brainard, Nebraska, Mrs. Julia Heji of Denton, Nebraska, Mrs. Betty Polak of Wahoo, Nebraska, Mrs. Anastasia Haviot of Inglewood, Colorado, Mrs. Mary Kregi of Brainard, Nebraska, two brothers, Charles Novacek of Dwight, Nebraska, and Manley Novacek of Ashland, Nebraska, and 15 grandchildren.
