Myrtle LaRae Russon Woolley passed away peacefully at her home on June 25, 1996 from natural causes. She was born September 28, 1921 in Lehi, Utah to Ira Raymond and Myrtle Devey Russon. The Russon family moved to Garfield, Utah, when LaRae was a baby. When she was 12 they moved to Magna, Utah, where she attended and graduated from Cyprus High School in 1938. LaRae married Joseph F. Woolley on November 7, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.LaRae was a talented women, artistically and musically. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served throughout her life in many capacities including the Primary and Young Women's organizations. She was an inspiration to many, young and old She is survived by her father and step-mother, Ira R. and Elva Russon; husband, Joseph Woolley; children, David R. (Linda) Woolley, Dennis S. (Leann) Woolley, and JoRae Haynes (Kamran) Zanjanpour; sisters, Dorothy Marlor and Beth (Owen) Erickson; brother-in-law, Dell Anderson; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. LaRae was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle; sister, Cleo Anderson; and brother-in-law, Donald S. Marlor. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 1996 at 12:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Green First Ward Chapel, 8739 West 3000 South. Friends may call Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, and Saturday from 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
