Bio

Florence Ames Terkelson "Granny" Our wonderful Granny, 101, went home, August 12, 2001 at her home. She was born Jan. 28, 1900, in Moroni, UT to Reuben King and Helena Petersen Ames. She married her sweetheart Benjamin Henry Terkelson Oct. 20, 1919. Was sealed Nov. 24, 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple and lost him Dec. 7, 1965, and her son Eugene Feb. 6, 2001. She loved nothing more than her family. She was a hard worker and always busy serving family, friends and the LDS Church. She was loved by everyone who met her, and became their Granny. She is survived by children, Donald and Van Terkelson; Verna Koogle; Bonnie Bolduc; all of Salt Lake City; Betty Hymas, Las Vegas NV; 25 Grandchildren; 81 great-grandchildren and 53 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Leora Burnham, Mt. View, CA; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday Aug. 16, 2001, 12 noon at the Jordan 3rd Ward, 3680 West 4700 South. Friends may call Wed. evening from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park. The family would like to express our gratitude to Doctors John Robinson, Brett Newman and Staff for their excellent care. We also want to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for their loving compassion and suggest donations to them in lieu of flowers, 2277 E Fort Union Blvd. Salt Lake City, UT 84121.
