Parents: Reuben Ames (1827-1873) Mary King (1832-1863) Spelled his name Reuben and Reubin Mt. Pleasant Pyramid June 16, 1933 MORONI Reuden King Ames, 76, former resident of Moroni for many years died at his home in Salt Lake City, 37 West Seventh South street, Monday at 7:30 a.m., of hardening of the arteries. Mr. Ames was born in Ephraim, a son of Reuben and Mary King Ames, but had moved with his parents to Moroni when he was 3 years old. He came to Salt Lake four months ago. Surving are his widow, Mrs. Helena Peterson Ames; four sons, D. F. Ames of Salt Lake; Ralph Ames, Moroni; James W. Ames, Chinock, Montana, and Roscoe Bradley Ames of Salt Lake; six daughters, Mrs. Vida Ernsten, Mrs. Leora Burnham, Mrs. Florence Terkelsen, Mrs. Myrtle Terkelsen and Clorence Ames, all of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Glenn Mower of Fairview; also 30 grandchildren. Mary died shortly after giving birth to son Roscoe Ames Bradley . Reuben unable to care for the newborn had Amos and Lenora Reese Bradley raise Roscoe. He was never offically adopted by the Bradley family.
