Sept. 6, 1883 Apr. 5, 1969 Gone But Not Forgotten South Lead Cemetery records state that she was born in Norway; died of myocardial infarction, arteriosclerotic cardio vascular; buried on April 7, 1969; funeral under the direction of McColley Funeral Home; nearest relative or friend - widower Arthur E. Cooper of 602 Sawyer in Lead and son Clarence Cooper of 608 Houston in Lead. Lead Daily Call, Saturday, April 5, 1969, page 6: Anna Cooper Dies; Rites Are Pending Mrs. Arthur E. Cooper, resident of Lead for over 60 years, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at the Homestake Hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. The former Anna Lund was born Sept. 6, 1883 at Namna, Norway and came to the United States in about 1905. She was married June 30, 1909 in Lead to Arthur E. Cooper, and had made her home here since. A member of the Lead Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Mrs. Cooper also held membership in the Pine Needle Club and Christ Episcopal Church. Survivors in addition to her husband include a son, Circuit Judge Clarence P. Cooper, Lead; a daughter, Mrs. Jan V. (Lois) Gunn, Northbrook, Ill.; and seven grandchildren, Richard, Steve, Judith and Jamie Gunn, all of Northbrook; Mrs. John H. Nicolai, Lexington, Ky.; Mrs. Philip K. Gilman, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Martha Cooper, Stanford, Calif. Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of McColley Funeral Home, Lead. Lead Daily Call, Monday, April 7, 1969, page 6: Funeral Is Held For Mrs. Cooper Funeral services were held Monday afternoon in Lead for Mrs. Anna Lund Cooper, who died Saturday morning in the Homestake Hospital where she had been a patient since Tuesday. The rites were held at Christ Episcopal Church, Lead, with Rev. Fenton Kovic, rector, officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Donald Whipple Jr., organist. Serving as casket bearers were Kenneth Lee, W.S. Raybourn, Robert Campbell, Clarence Kravig, William Konola and Robert Ruth. Interment was in the South Lead cemetery under the direction of McColley Funeral Home, Lead.
