Bio

Son of Nancy & Silas Kuhn. Married to Mary Edith Hunt on 20 March 1912. Published Monday Feb. 9, 1959 Ottumwa Courier Thomas Kuhn, 68, of 1148 Gurley ave., died at 10:38 am Sunday at the St. Joseph Hospital, after an illness of several months. The son of Silas J. and Nancy Orman Kuhn, he was born at Ormanville on April 15, 1890. He had lived in Ottumwa 67 years and was married to Edith Hunt on March 30, 1912. Besides his wife he is survived by a son Luther Kuhn of Pomona, Calif.: two brothers, Allen and Riley Kuhn, both of Ottumwa and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Ware, Ottumwa, and Mrs. Ella Houk, Floris. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the Johnson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. R. N. Coolridge of the First Church of God. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marion Houk, Vern Houk, Norton Roberts, Lowell Hunt, Gene Hunt and La Vern Lewis.
