Obituary From Ottumwa Courier , Thursday, August 16, 1962, Page 7: Mrs. Walter Ware Mrs. Laura Ware, 75, died suddenly at 7 a.m. today at her home at 519 E. Mary St. She had been in ill health. She was born April 1, 1887, in Davis County, the daughter of Silas and Nancy Orman Kuhn, and had been a resident of Ottumwa for 71 years. She was married July 30, 1913, in Ottumwa to Walter Ware. He died Oct. 16, 1946. Mrs. Ware was a member of the First Church of God and the Women's Benefit Association. Survivors include two daughters, Miss Delilah Ware at home and Mrs. Dorothea Jemison of Ottumwa; a granddaughter, Susan Jemison of Ottumwa; and two brothers, Riley and Allen Kuhn, both of Ottumwa. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The casket will be taken to the home, 519 E. Mary St., late this afternoon and will be returned to the funeral chapel Saturday morning.
