Graveside services and interment for William G. Hanks, 73, of Little Elm, formerly of Athens, are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. at County Line Cemetery with Adam Nicholas officiating under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens. Mr. Hanks died Saturday evening at his residence in Little Elm. He was born July 26, 1937 in Henderson County to the late William Bristow and Eva Jewel Lambright Hanks. Mr. Hanks is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Freddy Hanks, 2008. Mr. Hanks was a resident of Little Elm for the past 31 years, formerly of Athens, and had attended Athens schools. He worked for Dallas Plumbing for about 35 years, and he loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his wife, Rita Hanks, Little Elm, daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Adam Nicholas, Little Elm, sons, Glenn Hanks, Little Elm, David and Cindy, Sunset, 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Dusty Trussell, Cameron Carroll, Brad Hanks, Ron Chappell, David Hanks and Glenn Hanks.
