Freddie Bristow Hanks, 58, passed from us on Oct. 11, 2008 at his home in Athens. Hanks was born in Athens on Oct. 9, 1950 to William and Eva Hanks. He is survived by his mother, Eva Jewel Hanks; brother, William Garland Hanks; son, Brant Hanks; daughter, Carla Hanks-Ward and husband Justin Ward; grandson, Tye Tudor; and granddaughter, Ashton Miller. Memorial services will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 at Gordon-Foster-Brown Funeral Home.
