On 21 January 1908, "Miss Rosa Labaj and Mr. Emil Frnka" married with J. B. Schmitt, Rector with Catholic Church, Nada, Texas officiating. The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Transcribed from the El Campo Citizen (a newspaper published in Wharton County, Texas), Page Two, dated Friday, the 5th of September of 1941 NADA NEWS Mrs. Emil Frnka passed away at San Antonio Wednesday, Aug. 27, after a long serious illness. Rosie Labay was born at Nada Aug. 2 1886 [sic 1884], on January 21, 1908 she was united in holy marriage to Emil Frnka who survives her. Their union was blessed with five children who survive. Two sons, Eddie and Richard of San Antonio, three daughters, Mrs. Mary Bubella of Taiton, Mrs. Justina Bender and Mrs. Edith Schumaker of San Antonio. The decased is also survivied by six grandchildren, her aged mother, Mrs. Anna Labay, seven brothers: Joe of Garwood, John, Mike L. and George of Nada, Paul and Robert of El Campo and Cyril of Wharton, three sisters: Mrs. Annie Daehne of Flatonia, Mrs. Mary Frnka and Mrs. Frances Safar of Nada. Funeral services were conducted here Friday morning at 9 o'clock with a Requiem High Mass by Rev. John Ilg, O.F.M. Rev. Ilg made a beautiful sermon and also conducted the services at the grave. Interment was in the St. Mary's cemetery here. Our sympathy is extended the sorrowing relatives in their hour of grief.
