Bio

Phebe Tucker Sisson was the wife of Vincent S Sisson. She was born in Georgia and had most of her children there. They moved to Lauderdale County, Mississippi before moving to Newton County. Family legend has it that she passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 91 after having walked a mile to and from her son, Nathan's home for a visit. It is also said that she drove a wagon to the battle site and looked through the bodies until she found her sons Richard and James, and brought them home for burial. ( [email protected] )
