Charles Trevar "Tobe" Hales, 80, of Fielding, Utah, died Monday, October 1, 1990, at the Logan Regional Hospital following a stroke. He was born on August 4, 1910, in Riverside, Utah, a son of Stephen Alexander and Mary Ellen Fox Hales. He attended school in Garland, Utah. He married Rita Sophia Gabaldon on September 6, 1956, in Elko, Nevada. She died on September 10, 1977. He was a retired military officer and had been employed at Hill Air Force Base. He was a World War II Air Force Veteran. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Fielding Ward. Survivors are the following sisters: Odetta Bramwell and LaVern Coombs, Joanna Hansen and Mrs Rex (Lynetta)Bowers, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; Alta Coombs, Fielding, Utah; Catherine Hansen, Lehi, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, four sisters, and two brothers. Burial was held in the Fielding City Cemetery, Fielding, Utah.
