Hillsboro Reporter Monday, April 7, 2003 SIBYL LOTT Sibyl Lott, 90, of Whitney died Thursday, April 3, at a Whitney nursing home. She was born December 26, 1912 in the Prairie Valley community, daughter of Marcus Andrew and Bessie Marie Ingram Findley. She had lived in the Fort Worth area most of her life before moving to Whitney 20 years ago. She worked for Dickie Clothing for 15 years and Bogart Clothing for seven years before retiring in the early 1970s. She was a Baptist. She married James Lott July 1, 1971, and he preceded her in death September 5, 1985. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Linda J. Emmons; one son, Horace Eugene Dietiker; and two sisters, Sylvas Saunders and Betty J. Smith. Survivors include: four children, Paul Dietiker of Whitney, James Wood of Decatur, Illinois, Mark Kirks of Waco and Elizabeth Grimland and husband, Milton, of Clifton; one brother, Horace S. Findley of Whitney; two sisters, Atrelle Connolly and Billie Barnett, both of Whitney; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Whitney Memorial Park with Joy James officiating.
