After moving to town, he was still very active and enjoyed driving out to the farm to help with the chores or lend a hand where and when needed. Each spring, he and his wife planted a very large garden and enjoyed sharing the products with their children. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather. He took pride i his grandchildren and treasured their devotion to "grandpa." He was presented with a 50-year membership pin by Lodge Milligan February 16, 1958. Mr. and Mrs. Hromadka celebrated their golden wedding anniversary February 22, 1959. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Dr. August B.
