James V. Rozanek, son of John Rozanek and Magdeline Volak Rozanek, was born July 27, 1891, near Osmond, Nebraska in Pierce county. He passed away at his home near Exeter January 14, 1971, at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 18 days. At the age of eight he moved with his parents to Saline county and spent his early years with them on the farm. When he got out of country school he worked for his brother, Frank Rozanek in the harness shop at Milligan several years. Then he went into farming for himself. April 14, 1931, he was united in marriage to Mary Jindra of Friend. They then moved to he present farm and resided there until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife Mary, and one brother, William of Exeter and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 19, at the Farmer Funeral Home in Exeter with Rev. Ernest Horner officiating. Pallbears were Joe Hlina, Anton Krejdl, Frank Motis, Richard Manning, James Luzum Jr. and Edward Votipka. Interment was in the Bohemian National cemetery at Milligan.
