Bio

John and Katherine immigrated to the United States in 1855 from Bohemia. they came first to Iowa than to Richmond, Mo. Later living in St. Joseph, Mo. In between the years 1870 and 1872 they moved to the homestead near Seneca, Kansas where the children grew to adulthood. John was a stone mason and plasterer as well as a farmer.
