Bio
Lorene B. Fuksa was born on Oct. 1, 1932, in Banner OK to Jim and Agnes (Hucek) Rubes and passed away suddenly on April 26, 2011, in Enid OK. On Aug. 1, 1957, she married Alfred Fuksa. Together they lived and farmed in the Bison OK area. She worked as a nurse's aide for over 25 years at St. Mary's Hospital. Lorene loved music and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and baking kolaches. Her animals were very important to her. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Alfred. Lorene leaves her children Colleen Stemen and husband Allen, Dwayne Fuksa and wife Nancy, and Bernita Fuksa, all of Enid; grandchildren, "her little people," Candice, Nikki, Jesse, Austin, and Jonathon; great-grandchildren Lauren, Alex, Tanner, Juniper, and Hudson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Reverend Kevin Ratterman officiating. Burial will follow in Bison Cemetery.
