https://www.yandaandsonfuneralhome.com/obituary/ernest-rubes Ernest John Rubes May 24, 1936 - October 12, 2020 ERNEST'S OBITUARY U.S. Veteran Ernest John Rubes, 84, was called to eternal rest on Monday, October 12, 2020 at his home in Wynnewood, OK. He was born May 24, 1936 in Banner, OK, a son of the late Jim and Agnes (Hucek) Rubes. A graduate of Yukon High School, Ernest worked for AT&T as a radio frequency technician for many years, where he retired. He also proudly served his country in the Air Force Reserves, and was a faithful member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church in Sulphur, OK. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Barbara Rubes and daughter, Tersa Rubes. Ernest is survived by his wife Rebecca Rubes; three sons: Greg Rubes and wife Christine of Virginia, Christopher Rubes of Wynnewood, OK and Chuck Rubes of California; brother, Don Rubes of Yukon, OK, as well as many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church, 1313 7th St., Sulphur, OK 73086. Visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Yanda & Son Funeral Home, Yukon, OK. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, at St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church, Sulphur, OK, with interment to be held at the Yukon Cemetery at a later date.
