Bio

My mother was reared and educated in Waco and her mother passed when my mom was just 13. She was manager and co-owner of Killeen Car Wash from 1979 to 1983. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 8577 of Copperas Cove, Tx. My mother was the greatest mom in the world and is truly missed. She and my father raised 5 kids John, Carol, Bobbie, Debra and Arlene. She would give you the shirt off her back or her last bit of food. She died of lung cancer at Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio Tx but was living in Killeen at the time of death. A True Texan to Heart. I will never forget my last christmas gift from her a info and picture book of her Crockett ancestry back from me 5 generations. She left me a legacy that few will ever come to know let alone treasure. To which I am currently working on to improve. THANKS & LOVE YA MOM!! YOUR LOVING DAUGHTER DEBRA To all her birth is listed as 2 Dec 1925 even though most records reflect 2 dec 1923 this was because her dad changed it so she could go to work at an earlier age while doing genealogy I came accross her original birth record which was on file in Mart Tx city hall even though she was born in Watt in Limestone Co TX
