Bio

Dachia was born November 29, 1860 in Low Dell, West Vir., daughter of Mirana and Jane Allen. She died June 14, 1935 in Barron, aged 74 years, 6 months and 15 days and was buried in the Hughes Family plot in Wayside Cemetery. On June 27, 1881 Docia married Arthur Hughes. Arthur was born August 4, 1861, in Ohio, son of George Hughes and Ellen Collins. He died in 1944 and was buried besides the remains of his wife in Wayside Cemetery; Their children were: Selmina, b. Jun 1882; Ida, b. Apr 1884; Pearl Simeon, b. 5 Oct 1886, died 19 Oct 1911; Hattie (Harriet) E., b. Sep 1889; Bessie. b. Feb 1894; Gussie H., b. 1 May 1896, died 10 Jun 1912; & Bennie. Pearl Simeon and Gussie H. Hughes are buried in the same plot at their parents in Wayside Cemetery and have individual gravestones.
