Bio

Daughter of Arthur Hughes & Dorothy (Dachia) Allen. On December 9, 1903 she married Jacob Robert Brown at Barron, Wisconsin. They were childless. Both are buried in the family plot in Wayside Cemetery. Selmina's father, Arthur Hughes was born in Ohio in 1862, son of George Hughes and Mary Ellen Collins. After the death of Ellen, George married Harriet Appleman. George and Harriet Hughes lived in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Wis. for a time before they returned to Vernon Co., Wis.
