Unknown Michalski; live NE ------------------------------------------------ Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, Dec. 18, 1958, Page 6, Column 1 Last Rites Held For Tom Paprocki, 69 Last rites were held Monday, Dec. 15, from St. Mary's Church at Elyria, for Thomas Paprocki, 69. Fr. Stanley Gorak officiated and rosary was said from the Hastings-Pearson chapel Sunday at 8:00 P.M. Burial was in the Elyria cemetery. Pallbearers were Anton Welniak, Phil Wentek, Ben Wadas, Emanuel Wadas, Pete Duda and Frank Schnase. Thomas Paprocki was born in Poland, June 8, 1889 to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Paprocki and died as a result of injuries suffered in a car accident Dec. 9th in Chicago. He and his wife had gone to Chicago to attend the mass funeral held for children including his granddaughter, who died in a school fire there. Mr. Paprocki came to the United States in 1916, lived in Chicago and married Genevieve Osieka shortly after his arrival there. The couple came to Elyria in 1918 and she died in 1922. Later Mr. Paprocki was married to Katherine Gregorski and they made their home on a farm west of Elyria. Thomas Paprocki is survived by his wife, four sons, James and Edmund of Chicago; John of Elyria and Joe, who is with the U.S. Army; four daughters, Mrs. Angeline Liskowski and Mrs. Francis Karwicki both of Chicago; Mrs. Matilda Polak of Ord, and Mrs. Domecella Michalski of Comstock. Other survivors include one brother, Joseph of Oglesby, Ill, and 13 grandchildren. Preceding him in death were Mr. Paprocki's parents, and one brother.
