Requiem Mass for Victor Dolezal was said at St. Anthony's Catholic Church Monday, November 20, 1967 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Harrold officiating. A rosary was recited in the Palacios Funeral Home Sunday at 8 pm. Interment was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Taiton. A resident of Palacios for 20 years, he was born in Galveston on August 7, 1907, a son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Pokorny Dolezal. He died suddenly at home of an apparent heart attack Saturday night, November 18, 1967. He is survived by his wife, Annie Dolezal; daughter, Helen Dolezal and son, Billy Dolezal of Palacios; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Brune of Palacios and Mrs. Frieda Fojtik of Point Comfort; four brothers, Jim Dolezal of Weimar, Charles and Walter Dolezal of El Campo, and Tom Dolezal of Bay City. Pallbearers were Ernest Matlock, Royce Brune, Kenneth Brune, Earnest Wehmeyer, Emmett Clary, & George Capak. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Parker and Milton Rowton. Victor Dolezal served in WWII, Normandy Invasion, wounded in action, received Purple Heart In service March 1942-October 1944. Contributor: Helen Dolezal (49748278)
