Joseph Havelka died Monday morning, June 27, 2011, at St. Joseph's Villa in David City. Joseph was born May 10, 1921, in Prague, Nebraska to James and Rose(Virgl) Havelka. He attended school through the 8th grade. On June 24, 1947, he married Delores Vavak at the Czech Presbyterian Church, rural Wahoo, Nebraska. They lived and farmed near Prague and Joseph also worked for Kingery Construction of Lincoln. He loved to fish and hunt and was an Honorary Member of the Prague Jaycees. Joseph is survived by his wife, Delores of David City, one daughter, Cathy(Ted) Pokorny, David City, grandson Jesse(Bethany) Pokorny and great-granddaughter Lily Pokorny, all of Prague, and a sister, Marcy Wiesgerber, Whittier, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and brother-in-law, Mayme and William Sedlacek, three brothers; Arnold, Leonard and William Havelka and brother-in-law Paul Wiesgerber
