The Banner-Press (David City, Nebraska) 14 Sep 1972, Thu Page 2 Funeral Services For Mrs. Havelka Funeral services for Mrs. Rose E. Havelka, 80, were held Friday, Sept. 8, at Kucera Funeral Chapel in Prague. The Rev. Donald Proett officiated. Burial was in the National cemetery at Prague. Mrs. Havelka died unexpectedly Monday, Sept. 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul (Marcella) Weisgerber of Whittier, Calif. where she was visiting. Mrs. Havelka was born Dec. 10, 1891, in Weston and lived in the area all her life. She married James Havelka in October of 1917 in Lincoln. He died in 1970. She was a member of the Prague American Legion Auxiliary and was a Gold Star Mother. Survivors include another daughter, Mamie, of Malmo; three sons William of Seattle, Wash., Leonard, of Mead and Joseph of Prague; two brothers, Adolph Virgl of Wahoo, and Joseph Virgl of Raymond; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Beuge of California, and Mrs. Frances Rezac of Wahoo; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
